Synopsis:

A TERRIBLE CRIME. NO OBVIOUS MOTIVE. BANKS IS ON THE CASE.

A shocking mass murder occurs at an idyllic wedding in the Dales, and a huge manhunt follows.

Eventually the shooter is run to ground, but Banks is plagued with doubts as to the sniper's identity and what really happened outside the church that day.

Struggling with his own personal problems, Banks feels the need to dig deeper into the murders, and as he does so, he uncovers forensic and psychological puzzles that lead him to the past secrets that might just provide the answers he is looking for.

My mother received this in a bag of books from a friend. Mum's not interested in reading this one and at this moment in time, neither am I.

I have watched some of the series on TV but just don't feel the need to read any of the books at this moment in time.

Finally in my mailbox, Sleeping in the ground. I'm glad it did not get lost because it took so lang. I never had a book go through costums before. A well, live and learn.

One has to be really patient with this book. The story goes on and on and on and in the last 30 pages you find out who did it.
Now I remember why I gave up watching the series. Same 'speed' :-)
