So different from her other books, but still an interesting read.
Received from a TOC member - found the BCID at the back, after I thought it didn't have one, sorry.
I love SF but I almost hate to categorize this one that way because it might make people prejudge it.
This was terrific, thought-provoking and made me want to read more Octavia Butler (not hard, I've got it, I just have to get around to it)! Meanwhile, I've picked up another copy of this one...which became a ray, and then got held up a bit. So I found yet another copy...
Dana is a black woman, a writer, living in 1976 California. She suddenly discovers herself in 1819, in Maryland. Not surprisingly, things get very complicated.
