When I re-read it about 15 years ago, I found myself laughing out loud several times. Very entertaining.
You just have to slow yourself down to get into it, if you've been reading a lot of modern fiction. (Kind of like Dickens...a slower pace of life = slow yourself down when reading.)
This Dover edition is exactly like the copy I bought for a bargain at Toronto's Word on the Street Festival, around 2004.
