This is a hardcover book. I found it in a little free library in my neighbourhood. The original Young Canada's Nursery Rhymes was published in 1897 and a copy was kept in the Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books in the Toronto Public Library. Through digital technology this reproduction was printed by Prospero Books in 2001. The rhymes themselves were taken from a similar book called Young England's Nursery Rhymes and the illustrations by Constance Haslewood also came from that book. Many of the poems were familiar to me although there were a few differences between them and what I learned as a child. Some were unknown to me such as this one:
My maid Mary, she minds her dairy,
While I go hoeing and mowing each morn,
Merrily run the reel and the little spinning wheel,
Whilst I am singing and mowing my corn.
A word of caution: Parents may want to vet some of these poems for subject matter that may not be appropriate in this day and age.

I left this book in a Little Free Library in front of 1207 Fleet Street. This release is for the 2021 Canada Days Release Challenge which seeks to get books written by Canadians or set in Canada into greater circulation.
