Congratulations! This is now your book, and you may do as you please with it: keep it as long as you wish, share it with a friend, or leave it where someone else can find it!

Of course, we hope you will make a journal entry to let its previous readers know how & where you found the book. What do you think of it? What will you do with it when you're done? This can be done anonymously. Or if you sympathize with bookcrossing's catch-and-release philosophy, you can open your own account, and be notified when future readers find the book. Some suggestions for release "in the wild" are public bookshelves in coffeeshops, or one of those Little Free Libraries you see all over the place.

In any case, enjoy. There is no cost or obligation.

I bought this book today at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, in Beaufort SC USA. It is a duplicate copy for me. It is Arthur C. Clarke's sequel novel to the film 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I'm claiming this hardcover from the Science Fiction bookbox. It's a follow-on to 2001, and inspired the 1984 film.

Later: I admit that I was a bit iffy on this one. It has some good elements (though some of that is quite dated now), and I was pleased to see poor HAL getting some love after all it went through {wry grin}, but the overall mix of alien influence and Earth-politics didn't quite wow me.

[There's a TV Tropes page on the film adaptation and book, with some entertaining tidbits.]
