Lange Zeit hatte ich keinen Grisham mehr gelesen und dieser hat mich wieder in den Bann gezogen, spannend geschrieben kommt keine Langeweile auf, so dass man schnell von Seite zu Seite lesen will. Nach seiner Begnadigung wird Joel nach Italien gebracht um dort sein neues Leben als Marco zu starten. Aber auch dort kommen die feindlichen Mächte ihm auf die Schliche, denn das Geheimnis das er verbirgt ist einfach zu bedeutend. Aber wie kann er es schaffen, aus einem fremden Land ohne Geld, Pass und Kontakte wieder nach Hause zu kommen und sein Leben zu retten?
