I've read two brilliant novels of this author and am curious.

“If I didn't take out homes, who would provide shelter? . . . If I didn't obliterate cities, how would you get to set up refugee camps? Where would all the world’s empathy go?” muses Ellis, the crashed pilot of the US army, who was rescued by the very same people he was allocated to bomb out.
This is a scorching, acerbic satire about the American war in Middle East. It plays in a godforsaken refugee camp somewhere in the desert where the USAID planes don't drop aid packages anymore and is told alternately by said flight officer Ellis, by Momo, a 15 years old "business man" and his philosophical dog. Bloodcurdlingly funny and dreadfully true.
However I think that the end somewhat peters out, not a fulminant firework or happy end, the story rather dissipates like ghosts into thin air.
