Great fun as heroine Thursday Next tries to save the world from ending, determine if a newly discovered Shakespeare play is the real thing, and searches for her "eradicated" husband. Along the way she enters Kafka's "Trial" and Austen's "Sense and Sensibility", and becomes apprentice to Miss Havisham (Dickens' "Great Expectations")- possibly the best character in the book.
