This has arrived safely from the UK - and the post office didn't ask me to pay duty! Not sure if that was a fluke or not, but very glad. I've gotten behind on my reading of these books (the danger of knowing /thinking no one is waiting to receive it after me), but my husband is thrilled as he's been more assiduous than I have. I do enjoy them when I pick them up though, so look forward to getting back to them. Thanks for sending.

This is here in the bookcrossing spiral/ray started by ULRK and supplemented by Cross-Patch. This installment which takes place shortly after the bolt of lightning (no spoilers?), starts with Flavia striking out on her own. As ever, she is clever and perseveres, eventually with some welcome help, and ends up staging an almost Agatha Christie like resolution to the situation.
Another very good read. As I seem to be the end of the ray, I have offered to send these books further afield, but have only had a few nibbles so far.

Now some of this spiral is heading to Scotland with part of another spiral - all to be swept up in the aftermath of the Falkirk convention. Hope all is well and I gather it was a big success?

The journey to the end of this case involved middle class, spoilt, rowdy youngsters and complicated families. I took me all my time to remember who was married, who they wanted to date and who was being trifled with until the right one came along. Actually quite an unpleasant group of people on the whole. The author descriptions are fantastic and you can really picture setting especially when we reach the Agatha Christie style denouement. Not a ‘can’t put down’ book but a good steady enjoyable read.
