The Gundersen family has been logging in the Pacific Northwest for many years. The loafing company has been using herbicides for just as long, tell people what they were spraying was safe. When a young man, Daniel, starts testing the drinking water and talking with people he believes there is a connection between the herbicides and the many miscarriages and birth defects that have been happening for quite some time. Colleen Gundersen decides to help Daniel and this causes the bosses of the logging company, as well as the employees, to become very irate. A lot of terrible things begin to happen.
The story itself was very intriguing, but I did not enjoy the writing style of this author. At times there was too much detail that was hard to follow and the writing did not seem to flow smoothly,
