The Midnight Library
4 journalers for this copy...
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?
Happy Birthday, Bookworm-lady :-)

Reserved for dabercro, for the INTL WishList Game; I will read it first. :)
Currently reading it. :)
A very good read; I really enjoyed reading about Nora and her potential lives, and how she learnt to do her own thing rather than adapting to other people's dreams or expectations...
I found that Mrs Elm was a very endearing character, both in real life and as the keeper of Nora's own library... And I loved the idea of meeting other "sliders" in one of the lives, who fully understand what you are going through.
Having said this, I think that the final explanatory self-help pages are unnecessary. By this point, we all understand the underlying cautionary tale involved. Just my opinion.
Thank you for sharing this book, Meg72, it allowed me to have some evenings of pleasant reading.
It will soon go on to its next reader.

Arrived in today's mail. Thank you for the tag and for sending the book.
An interesting premise. What if you could go back and relive parts of your life and make different choices? How would your life and the people in your life been different? This is all about regrets and what could have been.
Nora is depressed and had given up on her life. She tries to commit suicide but before "going to the other side" she is transported to the Midnight Library where she reads her book of regrets. She then is given the opportunity to relive different parts of her life. Would she have been happier if she had made different choices in her "root" life? Which life would have been the life she wants to live?
