This delightful book is the latest in the series of Ladybird books that have been specifically planned to help grown-ups with the world about them. As in the other books in this series, the large, clear script, the careful choice of words, the frequent repetition and the thoughtful matching of text with pictures all enable grown-ups to think they have taught themselves to cope. The subject of the book will greatly appeal to grown-ups.

I've enjoyed the Enid Blyton books for adults but I never knew there were Ladybird books for adults. I must say, I think the Ladybird books are better. They are very funny and made me laugh out loud occasionally. There were so many moments I would rather not have recognised in this. My (very Scottish) recommendation for hangover cure is Irn Bru, Salt & Vinegar McCoys crisps followed by a bacon roll. Enjoy!

This looks suitably light and fun to read. Thanks very much for the two bonus books.

Read this very quickly when I should have been working. Definitely chortle-inducing.

I recognise some of the pictures from Ladybird books I had as a child. I was a fan and had a big collection.
