I enjoyed Veitch's Tombstone Hand and wanted to try more from his "Panel Vision" series. Got this softcover from an online seller. This one's quite surreal and also thought-provoking: in a world not that different from our own, a woman goes through her day glued to a screen, just as everyone else seems to be doing, whether she's at work, dancing in a club, on the toilet, or commuting. And then the Spotted Stone appears out of nowhere and hits her on the head, making her drop her phone...

...and transporting her into an alien, low-tech world, where she lives out the rest of her life in increasing contentment. On her deathbed the shaman hands her the Spotted Stone, and suddenly she's back to the moment it first struck her. Her reaction pretty much sells the moral of the story. And, once again, I'm impressed at how much the author can squeeze into a story that unfolds in so few panels.
