This is one of the books I was given by BookCrosser Blower from those passed on to her by a non-BookCrossing friend whose taste in crime novels is known to be rather more gruesome than ours . . . I'll try them - and see how many I finish . . .

Narrated by a forensic psychotherapist who's as unbalanced as any of his patients - with extracts from a killer's diary for light relief!

I read it more or less chapter by chapter, expecting at any page that it would get too thrilling and intense for me and that I'd have to give up. It didn't and I finished it - but part of me wishes now that it had . . . I don't want these images in my head . . .

Authors can play god in whatever way they choose. I accept their right to do whatever they want. But that doesn't stop me feeling cheated with some of their tricks. That's my right! I won't be reading anything else by Mr Michaelides!

I did start it but having read a few reviews,I'm not sure it's for me.
I have other books waiting to be read so I will pass this one on.
