WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Released in honor of Earth Week 2021. Stay safe, Seattle.

Have been wanting to check out this author's work. If I end up liking it, it wouldn't be the first time a washed up middle-aged male lead character resonates with me. lol

Decent story and imagery, though the main character comes off as a whiny man-child (actually, unlikable characters abound here). His distinguished career on an alternative energy source hinges on the continued destruction of our environment, so his myopia tends to bleed into smaller-scale inconveniences (like his relationships).
I've since had an opportunity to hear this author interviewed. Without a doubt, very intelligent and articulate. But kind of a somber writer.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This is tagging alongside a Bookring book as a surprise to the recipient!

Wow! What a nice surprise! One of the few books I haven't read by this author.

I found this book fascinating! First, the author is such an excellent writer; second, the pertinent story line of global warming; third, a complex protagonist, who is both brilliant and self-deceptive. I'll see if there is someone else who wants to read this. Thanks for sharing with me!
