Here is the review I post for every Anne Tyler novel, because, except for the changing details of the particular story, all her books make me feel this way.
Anne Tyler has a way of creating the quirkiest and most particular characters, who always find a way to pop into my mind again and again, even years after I have finished reading. One feels these are real people one has met who continue along their idiosyncratic paths. We peek in on them for a time and then they are, somehow, part of us.

Sorgatani chose this book as her prize for the Best-Last-Line-for-my-Poem Contest!
I just remembered, though, that I forgot to paste anything into the book to identify it as a BC book. It just has the BCID# written on the first page.
I trust 'tani to add in whatever she feels necessary should she send it on another trip.
Enjoy, 'tani! (...and get your schoolwork done!)

*^_^* I didn't end up posting it until Wednesday 3 November - it (obviously) arrived on Thursday.

Received in the post today. Thanks heaps 'tani. I recently made myself a promise to diversify my reading habits more, so this is perfect. Not something I would have ordinarily picked up but I am enjoying it so far (50 or so pages).

Not my usual cup of tea, but I did quite enjoy this. Scarily I think there's a little of Macon is most males I know (myself included). Hooking up a coffe percolator and electric skillet to the alarm clock is something most men dream of. Eggs and hot coffee without having to get out of bed. Ahhh... ;-)
Posting this to BCer nimrodiel tomorrow.

This showed up in my mail at the beginning of the week, but due to Holiday preperations it sadly sat on my table until this morning.
Thanks so much for the book :)
Thanks so much for the book :)

I have picked up amd re-read the first two chapters three times over the past ten months, and while I thought they were well written, it just is not the right time for me and this book.
So, I shall be doing what was intended when it was recieved as part of the second tiarra sweeps and wild release it.
