A heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty, and hope -- a captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life ... as only a dog could tell it.

COMMENTS: A novel that reflects on what it is to be human, told from the family dog's point of view. This book is a different sort of read with the dog telling the story of his people (owner's). It is sad as dog stories always tend to be. But it is also happy and silly (with the courtroom scene) and looks into the future beyond your troubles of today. It especially touched my heart since my reading buddy will turn 15 next month and he is slowing down. We got him as a pup of 6 weeks and he's also been my shadow and my thigh snuggler all these wonderful years together.
