1983 Penguin paperback of the 1954 comic tale book 2 in the Salterton trilogy. This was on my list of best past books to read when I found this copy today in the Maybelle Little Free Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1951 Tempest-Tost (Salterton trilogy book 1) [n/a]
Edit February 25, 2021: This is one of those small print, big paragraph books that take effort to figure out what point they are trying to get to all the time. But I just skimmed it to end for time, so probably there is a worthy point. I could not find it in the opening sequence, though, so I did not care to bother beyond that. I currently have this ranked at #1107 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
