This is a duplicate book on my shelf. I read this in September 2014 and this is my journal entry from that read.

I really enjoyed this story about a woman reinventing herself after a divorce. Its also about family, friendship and love. All around good plot and writing style. I think anyone who picks up this story will enjoy the read. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

Loved this book....will definately look for more by this author. Agree completely with the previous journal entry. Great descriptive writing, pulls you in to the story. For me, having spent time in Seattle alot of the references were familiar which added to my enjoyment.

Going to reserve this one for a future bookbox.
Thanks again for sending.

I love bread and even try baking some myself (and that was before the covid craze, ha!)
Just reading the back description alone brought back memories of my trip to Seattle, eating some really good bread at a bakery in Pike Street Market. The rave reviews makes me decide to take the book out of the box.
Thanks for sharing.

I enjoy the book, it's a lovely warm tale about a woman losing her husband and trying to be on her own, and though there's romance, it is only part of the overall plot and comes along organically. Some peolple may find the story too meandering, but I like the style fine.

While there's some minor details, like making a casette tape of songs, and the generally slower communication with the lack of cellphones, this is a story that ages well.

Setting this aside as I have a perfect place to release it.
