Journal Entry 1 by Mankyi from Zürich, Zürich Switzerland on Wednesday, April 6, 2022
This book has been on my shelves for a very long time now - I think I might've brought it with me from London. It's time to read it and pass it on soon!

"Shy, plain Lady Jane Parker feels out of place in Henry VIII's courtly world of glamour and intrigue-until she meets the handsome George Boleyn. Overjoyed when her father arranges their marriage her elation is abruptly cut short when she meets Anne..."

UPDATE: It was a quick, easy read, just perfect to "unload" my brain from the previous book I've read, which was horrible. I loved all the scandalous details about Henry the VIII's entourage, and I had no pity for anyone, except, perhaps, Catherine of Aragon.

Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.

Excellent read and I am somewhat fascinated with the whole Tudor dynasty so this was a good but not too taxing read

Emily Purdy is a new author to me. I am extremely impressed with the way that this period of history has been presented.

I feel each Queen, Lady Jane Rochford, and George Boleyn were described and analysed in an open and fair manner, allowing the reader to ask their own questions about them and their behaviours. I feel the author led and encouraged the reader to do this, which is a refreshing approach.
This is my favourite period of English History, and the author, has left me wanting to discover even more about this time and learn as much as I can. Surely this can only be a positive result...!
