Spilled Milk is based on a true story of a battered child who learns what the real impact of a glass of spilled milk should be. Brooke goes on to disclose to a trusted person who becomes her champion and supports her through the terrible process of disclosing and ultimately the broken judicial system. A truly inspiring story!
I pulled this out of the Covid Book Box.
Amazing but disturbing book. Made me think about students that I have taught in the past - some that I knew had been sexually/physically abused (or watched it happen). It came out in so many different ways. Broke my heart. Children exposed to abuse develop a warped foundation. It is amazing how well this child dealt with it. So often they spend all their time in the reptilian brain that they struggle to learn. Thank you B-Lynn for this amazing read.

Heavy material but read it in two days. Couldn’t put it down as I wanted to know the end and find justice. Wonderful voice to a very real problem. Appreciate her bravery.
