"In modern, beautiful Green City, the capital of South West Asia, gender selection, war, and disease have brought the ration of women to men to alarmingly low levels."

On the cover, this book is described as a Middle Eastern/South Asian answer to "The Handmaid's Tale" which is a very fitting description. "Green City" turns out to be a golden cage for women but a small group of women is still trying to resist the vast array of surveillance and control mechanisms. Although the plot was not very special I really enjoyed the author's world building and a non-western dystopia.
