The Paris Seamstress was my second of Lester's books. Neither have captured me. Lester's a talented writer, but I have a problem with the storyline and characters, whom I ended up no liking. Also, I am so tired of the covers of books being the same with the women facing backwards. Don’t the publishers have any fresh ideas? I'm also tired of books that bounce between generations. Been there, done that. It's as if authors can't find enough to build a story by moving from one generation to another. I love the time period, but the story was unbelievable.
