There are two books in one, the first is Under the Knife.
A quick and easy read, and quite a clever plot. David Ransom is the attorney representing a family in a malpractice suit against a young anesthesiologist, Kate Chesne. He thought it was an open and shut case until she stormed into his office daring him to seek out the truth. The patient was a nurse at the hospital where Kate works in Honolulu, and when another nurse from the hospital is murdered, David is starting to believe Kate when she says she was framed. Romance also blossoms for Kate and David.
The second is The Whistleblower.
