Castle Rock resident, Scott Carey, is losing weight without getting thinner. The scales register the same whether he is wearing clothes (or not) or if he is holding something heavy. Scott also has new neighbors who just opened up a new restaurant. Scott and his new neighbors have started off on the wrong foot and it has developed into a bit of a feud. A Thanksgiving 12K run is the catalyst that changes this small town and the people who live there.

This is not your typical Stephen King horror story. So, be prepared to read a different type of tale from the "Scare Master". Elevation is more of a magical tale that ends up being a feel good, heartwarming story. It is a story that shows how people with differences find common ground.
