Taken from Brampton phone box library.
I'm sure I read another copy of this book some years ago and enjoyed it. I don't intend to re-read it but will find another home for it in due course as I know Widget-1 likes her books to travel.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

This book will be sent as a surprise to another bookcrosser.

To the finder:-
Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.

I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.

When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

Thank you very much, daffodil-2, for this lovely surprise. I always get excited about receiving books through the post, especially when they're unexpected like these. I had to smile when the postman rang the bell and handed over the parcel declaring himself to be a mobile library!

I used to aim to read one or two nonfictions a month and have started to get back into the habit after a year or so of sticking to easy-reading novels and light mysteries to distract myself, nothing too serious, nothing too realistc . . . I'll certainly try this - but be warned that I don't promise to finish it. There are some places I don't want to go, some experiences I don't want to share . . .

Journal Entry 6 by wingNu-Kneeswing at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, July 21, 2021
I've seen this memoir in charity shops and other sources of used books several times over the years without being drawn to it - and, after careful consideration now that a copy's come into my possession, I find I'm still not interested in reading it . . .
Sorry, daff - but thanks anyway!

Journal Entry 7 by wingNu-Kneeswing at Phonebox Library☎️ in Roecliffe, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Thursday, July 29, 2021

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

We went for a countryside drive, touring four local phone boxes this afternoon. This is one of the books I swapped in Roecliffe.

Nearly two million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 over thirteen million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!

Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't have to cost anything, although the site always appreciates donations towards running costs, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!
