Egyptologists Amelia Peabody and husband Emerson are back excavating - and as usual surrounded by drama in the form of forgeries, accusations, theft, drugs, and even murder! This was particularly amusing, one of my favourites in the series, with the tension between Ramses and Nefret adding to the excitement and a bit more background on the racial tensions in the region at the time.
