The Penguin Book of Canadian Short Stories

The writing in this collection includes some of the very best Canadian literature anywhere. A thoroughly enjoyable book.
I deducted a couple of points from my rating for two reasons. First, there are typos in sufficient quantities to be distracting to the reader. Second, somehow this editor managed to compile an enormous anthology of Canadian short fiction without, as far as I can tell, including the work of a single indigenous author (unless you count Joseph Boyden, whose claim to aboriginal roots is dubious), so in my mind, this anthology cannot be said to be truly representative of the breadth of Canadian literature.
