I got this beautifully illustrated hardcover from an online seller. It's basically all flowers, all the time, from the flowers on the cover to the pressed-flower illustrations on the flyleaves to the illustrations, paintings, and even a few photos inside.
The book itself has a bit less substance than I'd expected for its heft: while there are some pages of text here and there, many pages have a single inspirational quote along with the flowers; for example, there's a two-page spread consisting of a lovely flowers-and-sky background and the word "Ponder" write large across the pages. But there's meat here too, and the illustrations are lovely enough to be worth enjoying in their own right.
The book's aim is to encourage the exploration of and appreciation of nature, in whatever form is available to the reader. There are helpful notes about going on actual hikes vs. doing some bird-and-plant-watching in the back yard, quotes from sources such as Thoreau, Langston Hughes, and Celia Thaxter, and suggestions for mini-adventures: "Get lost in an unfamiliar town", or "Take a full moon hike" or "eat berries straight from the vine". There are illustrations of leaves and fungi, moths and birds, clouds and poisonous plants, and more. Some ideas for crafts, and even a few recipes for things like herbal tea, make their way in as well, but the majority of the book is in the illustrations - definitely something to savor a bit at a time!
