I found this handsome hardcover, with illustrations by Dorothy Reinhardt, at a local Savers thrift shop, and as I can never have too much garlic I had to give it a try! Some of the more tempting recipes include the Three Onion Garlic Soup with Garlic Gorgonzola Croutons - is that enough garlic for you? {grin}; the mellower-sounding Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Soup (this one uses the creaminess of the roasted garlic in place of actual cream); a more traditional Roast Garlic Rosemary Lamb Tenderloin; a Spiced Garlic Tomato Jam; and Persian Sugar Pickled Garlic, which I can't even imagine the flavor of, so I will have to make some.

Oh, and the author does James Beard one better - instead of Roast Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic, this recipe calls for 50 cloves!
