I got this ex-library softcover from an online seller, amused by the subtitle's theme: "Passive-aggressive desserts for your exes and enemies"! While I don't plan to aim these recipes at anyone in particular - I bear no ill will towards my exes, from whom I've been "ex" for a very long time anyway, and if I had anyone I considered an enemy I certainly wouldn't cook for them {wry grin} - the book looks like a fun read.

Later: OK, the style's a fun mix of punny vengeance-themed titles and tasty treats, and the author (a pastry chef, painter, and tattoo artist!) presents two options up front - deliver the goodies to the exes to make them rue what they've lost, or simply enjoy them yourself!

The punny recipes include such things as "Stop Texting Me, You Crepe" (an Oreo crepe cake) and "What A Piece of Sheet Cake" (a cinco leches cake with dulce de leche drizzle, that sounds absolutely divine). And some of the more unusual ideas sound fun too: butter pound cake with sriracha cream cheese frosting? Candied chicken-skin? Flamin' Hot Cheetos ice cream sandwiches? I'd try those!

The book includes some handy tips here and there, such as the pages showing the different types of sugar - presented as different guys on a dating app; granulated is "super-white and average", demerara is a "Big ol' sweetheart", etc.
