I got this paperback at Barnes and Noble, attracted by the bird-themed title. It's from a mystery series centered on Amy, co-owner of "Birds & Bees" - a bird-watching/bee-keeping venture. As with many such setups, this one features a protagonist who had a bitter breakup with an ex - who turns up to be annoying later on - and whose business plans run into trouble when other people attempt to rebuild/re-zone or otherwise mess up the status quo. Oh, and a corpse turns up - I mean, what would a cozy mystery be without one?

I have to say that I did not get attached to the main characters in this one, didn't find the motives behind the crimes as intriguing as I'd have liked. Can't win 'em all!
