Shadow is the Secret Service code name for First Daughter Nora Hartson. And when White House lawyer Michael Garrick begins dating the irresistible Nora, he's instantly spellbound, just like everyone else in her world. Then, late one night, the two witness something they were never meant to see. Now, in a world where everyone watches your every move, Michael is suddenly ensnared in someone's secret agenda. Trusting no one, not even Nora, he finds himself fighting for his innocence--and, ultimately, his life.

I really liked this book--the beginning was a real attention-grabber--fast and exciting. The middle kinda got a bit boggy, allot of details, and when I found out who "did it" ( a big surprise )it was in a bit confusing, trying to go back connecting the guilty with the occurances.

This is the second book of this author I've read and will look for more.

looking forward to this. I've read two others of Meltzers and liked them. He has some troubles with his endings but they were still great books. Thanks for sending it!

This is my favorite book by Meltzer yet! This is definitely a stay-up-way-too-late page turner! He does a good job throwing in lots of red herrings. The ending was much better in this book than the last two. He's now probably my favorite author of legal thrillers. I'll keep looking out for more of his work. I'm making this available, but will probably lend it for a week or two to the b/f this weekend as he loved The Tenth Justice and will probably eat this one up too. Thanks for sharing.

This book was excellent! I'd not come across this author before but I would look out for his work again. The story was fast-paced and thrilling and the ending completely unexpected. The only thing that kept it from being a 10 for me was that it was a bit too long. It could have lost a good 50 pages in the middle and been none the worse for it.
However, I would definitely recommend it.

At a risk of putting three thrillers into the same bookbox (can't help it, that's mostly what I read!), this is going into niccijl's bookbox.
