I found this hardcover in this Little Free Library in York, Maine while dropping off some books of my own. I've read other books in the author's "Martha's Vineyard Mystery" series, including The Cemetery Yew.

This one didn't really grab me, though there were some entertaining local-setting bits - possibly even more entertaining to folks who've visited the Vineyard, something that I'd like to do someday when travel's a bit safer. I did find the gathering-of-the-suspects scene near the end to be way over the top - until I read further and found that the main character did it on purpose {wry grin}. Oh, and the book ends with a quip about another character who's suffering the side effects of a flu shot - has a different resonance now than when the book was written, I expect!
