I liked the open face on the cover. It usually means one of two things. Either this is for young children, or it’s just an open drawing style that lets things flow and doesn’t worry about hyper realism. I like the later type. Luckily, this was that type.
Even better, this really is an ‘all ages’ kind of book. So anyone can enjoy it. It really is weird and quirky. The girl lives in an odd place of magic and ghosts and gets stuck in a weird position with a ghost, of which, she has a hell of a time trying to free herself via a teapot. Lol
It’s all very quirky and before you know it, you’re at the end of the book. I could have easily read a much longer version of this and not been bored in the slights. Good stuff. ;)

The God of Luck and Shiny Things has poured down upon me! And another book trade has commenced! LOL
Here's to a book finding a new reader! Cheers! ;)

The box of books and bonus surprises arrived today - in the middle of the first snow of the season, yet. Many thanks!
Later: a quick read but a very entertaining one. A young girl comes across a ghost in a haunted teapot - a ghost who's modeled after Bulwer-Lytton ("It was a dark and stormy night..."), and who seems intent on making its new host transcribe its entire new novel! There's even an explicit nod to the "Phillip Bulwark-Stratton award" for intentionally-bad writing.
But the persistent bewhiskered author-ghost isn't what he seems, as Glister learns when she indulges in a cup of tea made in the haunted, alphabet-covered teapot. Surprise!
The bonus story is "Rock Scissors Paper", featuring a fox spirit and a school kid/ninja who've found themselves in a magical world far from home. While trying to find their way back they encounter beings who may be troublesome; here it's a rather unusual vampire...
