Texas Alphabet

I got this hardcover from Better World Books. I had family in east Texas and visited a number of times - and also visited Fort Worth for one of the early BookCrossing conventions - so many of the entries here bring back memories!
Each page includes a central word for the appropriate letter, with additional words in the text, and on on the frames of the illustrations - lots to look at here. From "Remember the ALAMO" to Z for "Babe ZAHARIAS", the book ranges far and wide. The iconic BLUEBONNET and YELLOW ROSE are here, as are RATTLESNAKES and ARMADILLOS, Chief QUANAH Parker and BUDDY Holly, and much more.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Guidelines for safely visiting and stocking Little Free Libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic, from the LFL site here.
I left this book, bagged against the elements, propped up on the information board at the N. River Rd. trailhead; hope someone enjoys it! (The location's not at its prettiest just now, with melted snow, ice, rain, and mud, but the trails are quite appealing in summer and fall.)

*** Released for the 2021 Oh the Places We Can Go challenge. ***

Well, during a reunion at Pat's Peak, a bro by the name of Snooze provided me with an opportunity to read this fine book and pass it on. Now, as I live in Vermont am ready to pass it on...
I will be leaving it in Middlebury, VT on a side street with a public book case... take a look and pass it on!
