I got this softcover at Barnes and Noble. It's a manga about a girl who moves into a huge - and reputedly haunted - mansion while her father's away on business. She hopes to learn something about her mother's disappearance via documents that may still be in the house, but it turns out there are a lot more things there: spirits...

Seems the house is host to a being whose job it is to help spirits pass over, and as some of them aren't ready to go yet it can be a bit tricky. Our heroine gets caught up in all this, as she has the ability to see spirits, and she finds herself observing some touching scenes, some rather unnerving ones, and a very concerning plot development: a suspiciously-intrusive man turns up, asking about the house and, later, revealing to the reader that he knows about the Book of the Dead that our heroine's hunting for...

It reminded me of Natsume's Book of Friends in a way, especially in the monster-of-the-week concept and the battle between humans who want to help the yokai and those who want to make use of them.

[There's a short TV Tropes page on the series.]
