This arrived in the mail today. Thank you! I can’t wait to read it.
I think I got an idea in my head of what this book might be like based on a novel I read years ago called "The True Story of Hansel & Gretl" which was a book on the Holocaust. It wasn't by this same author, but I got it into my head that this book would be similar to that one using a different fairy tale. But, I was wrong.
This book was okay, but not quite what I was hoping for.
Sending on to innae as a wishlist tag. Enjoy!

Yay books! I have been looking forward to this. Thank you mrsjones
This retelling of sorts is just beautiful. At times it felt much more like a memoir - like a tale of someone searching her past, but we are reminded that it is not. It is not a fairytale. It is not history. It IS a beautiful told story, with an ending as it needed to be.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Congratulations!! You have found a rare and unique gift, a travelling book!!
While it is possible I have read and given my thoughts on this book, it is more likely it is a book I found/purchased specifically to send out into the world! In either case, please read what has been said before, where has this book been, who enjoyed it, who didn't -- and perhaps, if you care to, you can add your two cents!
You do not have to join bookcrossing to pick up, enjoy, and journal a book -- however, if you do decide to join us, please consider using me (innae) as your recommending friend, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to drop me a personal message (for more info, check out the FAQ).
And again, thank you for saving this book from a life of boredom!
