This is a murder mystery and unlike anything I have ever read by this author. Pete Banning, a decorated WWII hero, walks into the parsonage and shoots the Methodist minister. He refuses to tell anyone what his motive was. The book takes us from the South in the 1940's to the jungles of the Phillipines during WWII.
