" In a perfect pairing of talent, this volume blends twenty illustrations by Peter S.' with Jorge Luis Borges' 1957 compilation of 116 "strange creatures conceived through time and space by the human imagination," from dragons and centaurs to Lewis Carroll's Cheshire Cat and the Morlocks of H. G. Wells' The Time Machine. A lavish feast of exotica brought vividly to life with art commissioned specifically for this volume, The Book of Imaginary Beings will delight readers of classic fantasy as well as Borges' many admirers."

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I've enjoyed reading through this book, mainly in a random fashion rather than sequentially. Now it's on its way as part of the Mythology Sweeps.

Thank you for my books and lovely dream catcher. This looks just my sort of thing ... looking forward to reading it.

A weird little book - not quite sure what the aim was, but it does cover a huge amount of mythological animals and creatures from fiction - even some aliens, as quoted from some of the works by CS Lewis. There were more than a few that I hadn't ever heard of, but you don't learn a huge amount as each entry is very short ... but a good starting off point if you want to find out more.
