I found this book still in the LFL today, while dropping off some books of my own, and decided to claim this one. I've enjoyed Campbell's work, and these tales look like they'll repay a reread - especially "Who Goes There?", the inspiration for the 1951 classic Thing From Another World and the 1982 The Thing, among others. [There's a TV Tropes page on the story and its adaptations.]

Later: A very enjoyable collection, from Lester del Ray's introduction to the stories themselves. I liked everything here, with special notice for "The Invaders" - with its very chilly scenes of humans from an idyllic Earth coping with invading aliens; "Blindness," a rather poignant tale of a genius whose discoveries lead to immense benefits for Earth, but as those benefits did not come from the discovery he thought was the most important one he can't be content; and "Cloak of Aesir," about an ancient ruler whose own goals have restricted her, and who longs for a glimpse of the places she's never been as her reign comes to an end.
