Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. Wanderer, the invading 'soul' who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too-vivid memories. This has been on my tbr for about absolutely years!!!
It took me ages to get into this book - well over 100 pages. But I’m glad I stuck with it as after that I couldn’t put it down. I was sucked into life in the caves. Beware though you will need a box of tissues on hand 😢 I don’t know why I kept putting off reading it all these years( maybe because I wasn’t impressed with the Twilight mania)because I really enjoyed it. Nothing like the Twilight series!!!
