I enjoy Cathy Kelly's writing and her views not only on romantic love, but between parent and child, and siblings.

Two quotes stood out for me (both on romantic love, mind you!), that sum up my views on love and life...

"If they couldn't be together, then she didn't want a half-hearted relationship... [she] was too old to do anything half-hearted now",

and

"Never underestimate kindness. Being kind to the person you love is worth more than a hundred gifts. Kindness makes us feel loved, supported and appreciated".
