A fictionalized account of Ovid's banishment from Rome. The review from NYT Book Review and New Yorker are glowing. Looking forward to reading this "part thriller, part fantasy."
I really did try to like this book, but it got so tiresome to read so much classical study in a novel. It is like someone trying to make something dry taste better by tossing a bit of tabasco sauce on it...still dry, just spicy and dry.
I released this today at the Independence Mall in Kingston instead of on Thursday on the train. Had an unexpected outing to the mall and decided to leave it on a bench outside Borders Books and Cafe.
