I read this one a few years ago and liked it, as I like all of Maupin's novels. I am going to release it soon.

My first catch! How exciting! It was still on the chair as described. I'm looking forward to reading this and sending it on.

Yippee!!! My first catch - and it's by an author that I really enjoy. (It looks like this book is a first for everyone it's come across...first release, and first catch.)

It will move to the front of my TBR pile. =)

At first, this seemed just like a loving memorial to someone, and then halfway through, the mystery creeps in. True to Maupin's style (loveable, middle aged, self deprecating, slightly saggy old homo...) I did get a little bit weary of him second guessing himself, but a good read. Quite enjoyable. Most memorable sentence for me:

"There are moments, I think, when you actually feel your life changing, when you can all but hear the clumsy clank and bang of fate's machinery."
