I loved the author's short essays and ramblings about different things he noticed in the city. I'm going to New York soon and hope I can look at it through different lenses like he did. One part of this book that really stuck out to me was his writing about the World Trade Center: the man who scaled the outside, the plane that flew into it, and his mother's history with the building. Fascinating! I need to look further into those instances.
