TBR.

Yikes! This was nothing at all like what I was expecting, and I did not enjoy it. The writing style was flat and emotionless and the themes were far, far too dark for a middle-grade novel. The story was unrelentingly bleak. The characters and situations did not ring true for me, and the plot did not hang together particularly well. I would never recommend this for a child reader. I suppose some YA or adult readers might find it to their taste, but I did not.
