From amazon.com:
Author Nick Johnstone unravels the life and career of one of Britain's most brilliant and troubled stars. He details her meteoric rise to stardom, two albums catapulting her to the top even as her open use of alcohol and drugs was setting the scene for a personal life plagued by excess.
Amy Amy Amy redresses the imbalance, giving full measure to Winehouse's talent while offering an honest account of her multiple personal crises in this absorbing and entertaining biography of an exceptionally gifted performer.

Thanks! This might end up in the graveyard as well... Unless Annelis, Peonio or Delenna wants it. Will try to read it during my vacation number one.
I just began reading this, had soooo many books to read on vacations one and two. I'm back at work now, so have to read late in the evening which often puts me to sleep...
Drugs - isn't life exciting enough without them? So much talent going down the drain, although Amy hadn't died yet when this book was published.

I am such nosy person that I seldom do not finish biographies, but the writer does not manage to hold my interest. The book appears actually boring or the people he has interviewed are morons, do not know which. Feel sorry about Amy, who was a troubled girl to begin with and fame & success didn't bring her happiness. First set of pictures were of a normal youth, the latter of an anorexic drug addict. Her husband looked liked one of the members of Sex Pistols.
