My father-in-law was a Ford-tough guy from Detroit. He was a Ford designer for almost 40 years, and was one of the earliest guys working with AutoCAD. Prior to that, he was PFC with the Army. He and I were as different as night and bananas, but I adored him very much. The one thing we did have in common, was a shared love of reading, and he introduced me to authors like Lee Child, John Sanford, and James Patterson. He had a bookshelf in the garage where he kept books he wanted to pass along either to me or others. There were two copies of Storm Front sitting there, one of which I'm releasing in memory of him.
