One of ten British Library Crime Classics given as a donation for our church bookstall. I just had to purchase them all!

An old fashioned crime mystery based in Devon. Some of the language used was a bit stilted but the book was first published 74 years ago. I was kept guessing right till the end and in the traditional style of the old fashioned crime novel, the whole crime is summarised for us in the last chapter, or was it a crime at all?

Thank you very much! I love it when the postman brings me a parcel, especially one containing books - Wonderful! Of course, in these days of hibernation and increased on-line shopping, my doorbell's ringing with non-book parcels far more than it ever used to . . . but I digress!
Thank you for the books, card and postcard. They all appeal. As you know, I'm quite a fan of the British Library Crime Classics, so I'm delighted to get another one!

An interesting puzzle with some pieces only appearing rather late in the game - and at least one still seems to be missing . . .
Thanks again, Deltic. A welcome addition to a series I love!

Well all the rain we've had over the last few days has caused a leak right next to my book cases - eek!! As a result at some point the case is going to have to be taken down so we can check behind it & so all the books will have to come off. As they are doubled up (tripled up in some places!) ...& as much as I really don't want to... it seems a good time for a book cull. Sorry to say this is earmarked for releasing.....
